For Established Design Professionals

We are always looking for upbeat, polished, independent, professional, punctual, detail-oriented and extremely reliable talent to join our team. Our team members have positive attitudes, ambition to help our team succeed, and thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced work environment.

We hire interior design professionals who have completed a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design + 2 years of professional experience OR have completed an Associates in Interior Design + 3 years of professional experience. (Senior level Interior Design students or recent grads may be considered if they can demonstrate the appropriate skill level, experience, availability & professionalism.)

Applicants must be able to demonstrate an elevated and unique sense of style as well as excellent skills in AutoCAD, InDesign, and SketchUp. Please only apply if you are very comfortable in these programs.

For Interior Design School Junior & Senior Students

MCI’S INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Each school year, we open a few paid internship positions to students who are looking to gain experience and get established in the interior design industry. Follow us on Instagram to find out when we are hiring for our internships and get the scoop on our student events and resources.  

Our interns are highly professional, friendly, self-starters, organized, efficient, ambitious, beyond creative and VERY dependable. If you are an Interior Design student who has completed or started classes including basic AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp and interior design, we invite you to apply. 

Our internships are open to Junior/ Senior Interior Design students and recent graduates an interior design program who currently live within 60 miles of our Phoenix, AZ or Portland, OR offices. No exceptions.

Intern should be able to commit to 12-18 hours per week. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 9am-4pm. This schedule is somewhat flexible, so please reach out if you believe you are qualified but may need to modify the schedule. Outstanding interns will be seriously considered for placement as a design assistant upon completion of the two-semester internship.

Interns who apply themselves will have the opportunity to learn a variety of skills necessary for a career in the interior design industry as well as make contact with product reps, designers, and other professionals in the design industry! Candidate must be flexible and able to meet in our office or on-site at our projects. As a small boutique firm, every team member plays a critical role in our success.

Are you looking for guidance from a design professional about how to get established in the interior design industry? Do you have questions about your interior design educational path, internships, and professional opportunities? Do you just want to learn more about the industry so you can decide what career path is best for you? Then we invite you to apply for a mentorship with MCI. 

Spots in this program will be limited, and we will prioritize those who are working full time through design school and/or overcoming adversity to succeed in their educational endeavors.
