Throughout her career, Mackenzie has gained a reputation for her unique approach to creating spaces that reflect her clients’ distinctive styles & interests. With a diverse portfolio of both residential and large-scale commercial projects, she has honed her skills in space planning and project management, placing emphasis on universal design practices and sustainability.

Prior to graduating with honors from Harrington College of Interior Design in downtown Chicago, Mackenzie earned her BS in Psychology from Michigan State University, where she focused on child and family psychology. The marriage of these educational backgrounds gives her the uniquely adept ability to communicate with clients and interpret their specific needs, and to understand the distinct ways individuals use their various spaces.

Mackenzie has built her business with her core values of community building, positivity and integrity in mind. She teaches and speaks nationally about business practices and interior design and is part of an ever-growing community of business owners who are expanding beyond the traditional business model.

Mackenzie constantly searches for new inspiration through travel, art, music, and nature. She loves highly functional spaces that have clean lines and natural light pouring in. She is a firm believer that the best design solutions are also the simplest and that kindness always comes back to you.

Yoselin Castro

Yoselin has earned her place as a Senior Interior Designer on our team with her exceptional design skills, attention to detail, and ability to anticipate client’s needs and advocate for them even on the most challenging projects. Her professional experience ranges from high-end residential design to corporate offices, government buildings, retail spaces, restaurants, and senior living/memory care design projects.

Her expertise in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and the Adobe Suite allows her to use her tech-savvy skills to skillfully balance form, and function to help our team illustrate each client’s vision, and ensure they are thrilled. Yoselin is passionate about interior spaces and driven to enhance the way people live, work, and play in their everyday environments. She gains inspiration by exploring new places, as well as through her love for nature, art, and fashion. When she is not in the design studio, Yoselin likes spending time with her family, baking vegan recipes, and practicing yoga.

Karen Rohr

Interior Designer
B.S. in Architecture, Universidad Rafael Urdaneta

Hometown: Maracaibo, Venezuela

Karen completed her professional degree in Venezuela. Subsequently, she moved to Miami, FL where she worked as an Architectural Lighting Designer on several commercial and retail projects. Later, she focused on extending her career in interior design. With her creativity, attention to detail, highly organized & tech-savvy skills, Karen has developed projects ranging from architectural proposals to high-end interior designs.

By incorporating her architectural perspective in the design field, she has established an ability to create functional and aesthetic environments. Her passion for interior design is linked to the goal of designing environments that inspire, nurture, and serve the human beings that occupy the space. She gains inspiration by exploring new places, restaurants, and discovering around. When she is not in the design studio, you will find her creating content for her lifestyle blog and social media. Karen enjoys spending time with her family, making healthy recipes, and hiking.

Rasha Rizwan

Interior Designer

Hometown: Kerala, India 

Rasha is a gifted interior designer with an elevated level of taste that makes her aesthetic designs very distinctive. Her diverse educational background brings a fresh perspective to the team. She is driven by her artistic exploration and inherent ability to connect with people. Her human-centered and creative savvy approach engages clients and provides meaningful and immersive designs that highlight each client’s unique story.

Prior to moving to the U.S. Rasha graduated with a degree in Engineering and worked as an AutoCAD tutor. Getting to meet new people and learn new cultures has helped Rasha broaden her design talents and perspectives. Since moving to Arizona, Rasha has graduated with a degree in Interior Design from Phoenix College and started her career first as a design intern and then as a full-time Interior Designer with MCI. The joy and excitement of doing something she loves energizes her every day.

Kylee Gillespie

Public Relations and Social Media Coordinator
B.A. Journalism and Mass Communication with a focus in Public Relations and a minor in Digital Audiences, Arizona State University
Hometown: Mesa, Arizona

With a diverse skill set and numerous internships under her belt, Kylee brings her love for all things social media and storytelling to the MCI team. During her time at Arizona State University, she took part in campus organizations including the Public Relations Student Society of America, and was inducted into Kappa Tau Alpha, the national honor society for journalism and mass communication. Her experience has led her to develop public relations strategies and campaigns for clients, hold leadership roles, and attend conferences around the country. Her passion for design in relation to the PR industry has continuously driven her to expand her knowledge, experience, and network to share MCI’s message with audiences through the media.

The Arizona native has a passion for writing, design and language. She is now combining these passions in her role as the public relations and social media coordinator. Kylee brings creative ideas and successful solutions to the team. When she is not working, you can find her venturing outdoors by foot or paddleboard, eating at the new “Instagrammable” restaurant in town, or traveling with friends.

Erica Cooley

Operations Liaison
Hometown: Taylor, Michigan

Erica comes with an extensive background in Sales and Operations, a great instinct and an even greater Golden Retriever named Kaya. Over the years she has proven not everyone needs college, she has taken the time to learn anything and everything available to her to help her grow throughout her career. Erica is a quick learner and is never afraid to tackle a new challenge!

In her free time, you will find her outside enjoying the simplicity of nature or finding new ways to channel her creativity. As a Michigan Native she is enjoying all the adventures Arizona has to offer, from hiking trails to new food spots, nothing is off limits! As for her creative side, digital art has become a new passion, and sometimes an occasional kids coloring book because you’re never too old to color outside the lines.

And Ranger, the wonder dog.

Security Intern

Ranger is the new kid on the team and he has very big dog booties to fill! He's in training for the Regional Head of Security position that was previously occupied by the very best good boy, Vern. Ranger hails from Mexico City and has done a lot of traveling in his rather short life so far. He is a guy who takes naps seriously and provides the team with lots of laughs while he's mastering his athletic abilities. He encourages the team to get up and move around throughout the day because he needs potty breaks every 20 minutes or so.
